Wellness Wednesdays at Apo Barking
What is Apo’s New Year’s resolution for 2023? To bring you more great events that enable you to get to know your community and help you build a balanced lifestyle. We have launched a series of free fitness classes at Apo Kew. Now, this week we are kicking things off at Apo Barking with the beginning of Wellness Wednesdays!
The best way to form a healthy habit is one step at a time, so if you struggle to carve out time for yourself, this is the perfect way to start. Join us every Wednesday evening, from 11th Jan - 1st Feb, to try out a different style of wellness each week.

- Wednesday 18th January - Meditation with Belinda Matwali of Spiritual Nutrition Meditation

Wednesday 11th January – HIIT Fitness Class with Sosthene Yao
Venue: The Gym
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Capacity: 12
Kick off the New Year in style with a full-body workout class from fitness instructor and Apo Barking resident Sos! Get ready for a high-energy, high-reward group session in The Gym, featuring guides on how to use the gym equipment and an introductory class to aerobic exercises. Guests are please advised to bring water, indoor fitness shoes and a towel for the class.
Please note: to participate in this class, you must have completed your gym induction.
Wednesday 18th January - Meditation with Belinda Matwali of Spiritual Nutrition Meditation
Venue: The Studio
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Capacity: 10
Meditation master Belinda Matwali returns to Apo Barking for a practical educational workshop on self-calming techniques. Whether you are a beginner or seeking further tips to enhance your personal meditative practices, this session is open to all levels, with Belinda bringing her 10 years of spiritual training in India.

Wednesday 25th January – Yoga with Benita

Beat the January blues with a calming yoga class led by Benita, a senior yoga teacher offering vinyasa flow yoga classes, courses for beginners, meditation and gong baths locally in Barking (more details at benita-yoga.com). Open to all abilities and ages.

Wednesday 1st February – Juicing with Ade
Venue: The Canteen
Time: 7 PM - 8 PM
Capacity: 15
Learn the benefits of making and drinking natural juices, with juice therapist and Apo Barking resident Ade! The session will be a masterclass in juicing, from the best ingredients, combinations and techniques for a tasty drink, to how juice can add key nutrients to your diet and contribute towards a healthy lifestyle. Tastings and samples to take home will be included.
